Day 28

Today was a WONDERFUL day. I finished up some editing, watched a bunch of Downton Abbey, played with Annie, did laundry and dishes, Went shopping with Brittany and found some AWESOME new props... and best of all there was no fighting. We have been trying REALLY hard lately to keep calm and try to talk things out. Our family tends to just scream alot, and needless to say it isn't working very well. The calm talking is going very well. Brittany and I have resolved to get back on the "healthy" wagon, and quit being cheaters... =) See you all tomorrow!

Day 27

In honor of today's rainbow, we had rainbow jello... complete with cream cheese clouds.. yummy. =) I hope this means we are done with rain for a minute, I really need to have a yardsale! lol!

Day 26

It was a rainy day outside... so we had lots of fun finding things to pass the time indoors.

I really need to work on taking my POTD photo BEFORE 11:00 p.m. I am left with very few options this late at night. hahaha... Love you Britt!

Day 24

Drayden won FIRST PLACE in the vocal division in his school's evening of the arts. I am so proud of this spunky little man. He sang Andy Grammer's "keep your head up" one of my alltime favorite songs, and he ROCKED IT!!! I love this little dude! Great job buddy!!!

Day 23

I was so busy all day at work that I did not have time to eat... at all. It totally sucked. So by the time 6:30 rolled around I was DYING... so this was a BEAUTIFUL sight... =D

Dray: "hey mom, I need your help with something."

Dray: "I want to learn a new song, so I can sing it to my valentine."
Me: {outloud} "sure thing buddy, I will print you out the lyrics tomorrow."

Day 20

WHEW! what a day today was! Mitch and I got up early and took this little monster out for breakfast. We had to run to costco because we were in charge of family dinner today. {we decided to give my sweet mother in law the day of since it is her birthday.} We ran home and got the kids ready for church. It was sweet little Rosie Hafen's farewell. The spirit was strong and I really enjoyed it. I even got to take a little nap this afternoon. It was wonderful. We had a great time at family dinner, good food, and fun company. This image was early this morning while we were getting ready to start the day. Annie was playing "Pocket God" on my phone and Daddy decided to call her. It was so dang cute when she answered the phone. I just love this little peanut. I am so very blessed today.

Day 19

Well... it finally happened. My very favorite sunglasses of all time broke. I left them in my purse, and Brittany accidentally stepped on my purse. {sobbing uncontrollably} I know it is silly, but I really really loved these sunglasses, and they are VERY expensive to replace... {like $300} So for now, I will just trudge on... but I would like to take a moment to remember my wonderful sunglasses...

In lieu of flowers,  there has been an account set up at State Bank of Southern Utah under the name of "Nettie's broken sunglasses". ;)

Day 18

Today I cleaned my room. Well, my half of the room. It is a VERY rare occasion, and I thought I should document it. This image is proof that I have carpet. {sad but true.}

Today was a three jacket kind of day... BBBRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! 7 degrees is SOOO not my idea of a good time. YUCK!

Day 13

Normally on Sundays we go to dinner at Mitch's parents house, but Gramps was sick today, so they cancelled it. Any time we DON'T go to "Sunday dinner" we ALWAYS hit Cracker Barrel for their famous Sunday Chicken. Now I am all about the sabbath and keeping it holy and all, but I am telling you, this chicken is worth it. And unfortunately they ONLY have it on Sunday. We took a few minutes after eating ourselves into a coma to browse the country store... I just love the nostalgic feel. Today was a FREEZING cold, but overall beautiful day.

Day 12

This is my dining room. I sense that something is missing.... hmmmm.... I guess we will be dining on the floor for a few days. Mommy is on a "selling spree" and we now have no kitchen table. On a positive note, we got a dog kennel so the little shits can come inside and be warm... =) p.s. Drayden is awesome.

Day 11

Today we tackled the project of grocery shopping. Sadly enough it is always put off until we are down to bare cupboards and we are busting out the powdered milk for the baby... lol... So today we hit the stores and filled it all up... so tomorrow, we eat like KINGS!!! =)

Day 10

Annie is SOOO cuddly first thing in the morning. We fight over who gets to wake her up. Cute little turkey. {my husband is a pretty sexy beast too.}

Day 9

What a difference a day makes!!! Annie was all smiles and happiness today. I took advantage of that, and the slightly warmer weather. We went and played photo shoot. I think they turned out so dang cute!

Day 8

Today has been a very long and trying day. Yesterday never really ended to be honest. Annie was up most of the night. For the first few hours I was trying to figure out what was wrong with her... She was SCREAMING bloody murder and barely stopped to take a breath. After about an hour I finally calmed her down enough to get that she wanted another sippy cup. I got her one, and laid her back in her bed... immediately she was calm, and just fine. About 1/2 hour later, she wanted more sippy cup. We are trying to get her off the cup, so I told her no. It turned into a test... how long can I scream before mommy gives in? She proceeded to SCREAM for 4 hours.  By this time it was 5 am, and I  was not about to let her win. I feel like I deserve an award. She finally fell asleep around 5:30am. The 2 year old tantrums have continued into today. I am SOOOO not looking forward to this stage. When she is in a good mood she is the most adorable child in existence... but when she is in a bad mood... whew... watch out. She is VERY strong willed, which will be a good thing when she is an adult, but for now it is bad... very bad. There WILL be sleep tonight though... I can promise you that. *cheers* to a better day tomorrow.

Day 6

Today was Sunday, so I took the kiddos to church. It was our first week with the 1:00 time block... YUCK I am SOOO not a fan. I am a nursery leader, so it is naptime for all the little ones. Mitch had to stay home with Annie because she was feeling a little under the weather. We did nails at family dinner... it was super fun. <3

Day 5

Today was Drayden's "date". A little more info on that: We are a family that enjoys going out... ALOT. But because we are quite a large family it can get rather pricey. So the solution is that we are going to have a "date night" once a month per child, and eliminate going out so much as a family. It is a good way to spend some one on one time with each child and still get to go out on the town. Tonight we went out to eat, {outback... YUMMY} We wanted to go see Wreck it Ralph, but unfortunately the theater we thought was playing it, was not... so we went and let Drayden pick a movie to buy... He chose chipmunks... then we went to Krave and got some frozen yogurt... watermelon, and I threw in some dole pineapple whip {to die for} and now we are home watching chipmunks. I just love my sweet Drayden, He is such a little sweetheart. We got to talk a bunch tonight, and it was so nice!

Day 4

We clearly do not have enough of Annie's favorite toys... Her room should really be called Lalaloopsy land.

Day 3

Today we had to say goodbye to sleeping in, Goodbye to late nights, and goodbye to Christmas vacation. I am one that really loves having my kids at home, so it is a bitter goodbye. The kids were excited to get back to school and their friends, but I know deep down they are gonna miss staying home with their crazy ol' mommy.

Day 2

I am getting ready for a Yardsale at my house. Today we doubled the pile of things we are getting rid of. It feels so good to declutter. That is my new years resolution: to get my house back to a livable state, and hopefully keep it that way! The date is officially set for Jan 25, and 26... I hope I'm ready by then!

Day 1

Day 1 consisted of:
Shopping @ Old Navy... Brittany found several new shirts. {yeah!}
Driving... that would be BRITTANY driving! {yikes} I took her out by the new airport and I have to admit she is getting much better... still super scary, but much better. 
Finally an evening at home. Very relaxed and feeling quite happy.
